Where 500 Years of

History Breathe Again

A restored monastery, rich in meaning and history.

Monastero dell’Incoronata was built in the 16th century during the Benedictine era as a place of monastic life, prayer, and agricultural work, reflecting the Benedictine principles of balance and self-sufficiency. Once abandoned, this sacred structure, an integral part of Nardò’s heritage has been lovingly revived by a family with deep roots in Puglia. With a shared vision to preserve its cultural significance, we now offer both the local community and our guests an opportunity to rediscover the past through hands-on experiences rooted in time, passion, and tradition. The monastery today is a destination for self-discovery, inspiring meaningful and once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Located just 75 minutes from Brindisi Airport and 30 minutes from Lecce, it offers convenient access to the region’s gems. Explore the historic charm of Gallipoli, the serene beauty of Galatone, or the breathtaking vistas of Santa Maria di Leuca - all within an hour’s drive. Surrounded by natural and cultural wonders, our monastery is your perfect base for an unforgettable journey.

At the monastery, wander through ancient gardens filled with over a hundred species of herbs, flowers, and plants, infusing the corridors with captivating scents and supplying our herbatorium with natural treasures.

Nestled in the heart of Nardò, our monastery is an ideal gateway to the treasures of Puglia.
